Emails sending to id for commit comments

When adding a comment to a commit and selecting the 'Project team' option for email notification, the email is sent to the id instead.

Example: Team Member - my.name@mycompany.com, id=5 Email is sent to 5@mycompany.com

This is the only situation where I have found this problem.
